Banks select ATM Parts Co for migrating and upgrading ATMs to LCD

ATM Parts Co Ltd, a division of Acal’s IT Parts Services group, announces the successful installation of its 3000th High Bright LCD upgrade for NCR ATMs.

The success of the ATM Parts Co High Bright LCD upgrades has followed stringent supplier and product evaluation processes with the High Bright (auto dimming) LCD solutions exceeding the required cost of ownership benchmarks.

Manufactured in the Far East, and developed by ATM Parts Co’s Technical Manager, Kate Scott, the screen is designed to allow the Banks to take advantage of the growing installed base of ATMs running new Windows based applications, thus preparing these machines to provide an enhanced user experience and extended customer services, by harnessing and exploiting today’s available technology.

As well as offering a cost advantage, the LCD provides brightness and clarity of the highest quality, which can be maintained over the life of the unit by use of a sunlight viewable sensor, which improves operation in direct sunlight and extends the life of the product by reducing the brightness at night. To ease the upgrade program, the LCD employs a ‘plug and play’ installation routine and a ‘one touch’ automatic set up which increases the engineer’s productivity, thus reducing the time the ATM is out of service.

With screens installed and in use world wide, the units are coping with many diverse environments.
