The ASD202G second generation anti-skimming device has been developed to combat the increasing number of attacks on ATM units. ATM skimming is being estimated to reach losses of $1.2 billion in 2009.

Flexible controlled detection

The ASD202G is a proactive threat management system that not only detects suspicious activity but reports the threat level to the ATM operator and financial institution.

Don't loose revenue; the ASD202G can take your ATM out of action only whilst a threat persists.

Using evolutionary technology the ASD202G can detect attacks from wireless devices, false card reader head installation, fascia tampering, Lebanese loop and drilling devices. As control of the device rests with the user it has a number of flexible customer defined settings for reacting to any of these attacks.

These device control options include:

• Automatically placing the ATM into Supervisor mode once the attack has been confirmed, for example a sustained detection of 40 seconds (timing adjustable).
• Automatically bringing the ATM back online once the device detects removal of the threat.
• Notifying the customer of the threat after placing the ATM into offline mode, so that they may take whatever action they feel necessary before bringing the ATM back into service.
• Informing the customer that the ATM is under attack and allow them to take any necessary action.
